Ulrich is a Managing Partner at CIVITAS International, a leading European executive search firm with focus in pharma, biotech, and medical devices/diagnostics.

Prior to this, he was the Head of the German Healthcare Practices of Russell Reynolds Associates and Egon Zehnder International. Previously, he was CEO of the Deutsche Klinik für Diagnostik GmbH, a subsidiary of Rhön-Kliniken AG.

Ulrich began his professional career as a Management Consultant at Boston Consulting Group in Munich, where he last held the position of Senior Manager of the healthcare practice. He completed his study of medicine as a licensed physician at the Universities of Bonn and Munich, earning the degree of Dr. med. He went on to earn his MBA at INSEAD.

Ulrich serves as a Vice President of the INSEAD Healthcare Alumni Network which he co-founded in 2006.
